uh oh the dress doesn't fit!

Hello Lovelies,

Kim Here! It's about 3 months till Kerry's wedding so I thought I'd check if the bridesmaid dress we bought in the sale 7 months ago still fits. I knew I had put on weight but brushed it under the carpet and didn't think it was as bad as it is, to my horror...THE DRESS DOESN'T FIT.

I don't believe in weighing yourself and getting down to a certain 'weight' because really that doesn't matter. Muscle is more dense than fat therefore, one pound of fat occupies less space in the body than one pound of fat, so you could lose inches but stay the same weight!

I'm actually embarrassed to tell you the measurements, that's how bad I feel it's got. I've gone up around two dress sizes in 6 months and this is what I need to lose before I can fit back into the dress.

The Plan
Walk 45 mins a day
3 full body circuits a week (body weight)
No more takeaways & convenience food.

I'll keep you posted on my progress, what I'm eating and hopefully some progress pictures! Hopefully Kerry will be joining me in this journey to lose her baby weight!

If you have any inch loss ideas leave them in the comments below!

Superdrug Haul

Hello Lovelies, Kim here!

I saw the naked 3 dupe (make up revolution iconic 3) in a video posted by Rosanna Pierce. As Kerry's wedding is cadbury purple themed I jumped at the first chance I had to get this palette because it has a lot of pink and purple tones in, unfortunately you can't just go into superdrug and buy one thing!
Make up revolution Iconic 3 - £4
L'Oreal Wild Ombres - £8.00
Touch of Silver Shampoo - £3.95
Eylure Individual Lashes - £2.99
Micella Cleansing Water - £4.00
Nivea Exfoliating Scrub - £2.95
The majority of this stuff has been bought to try out looks for the wedding on both the bride (Kerry) and myself, the bridesmaid. I've never used individual lashes before so I don't know how that is going to work out, if you have any tips on applying these I'd really appreciate it!
I'm also going to be giving myself ombre/highlights using the wild ombres kit, I'll let you know how it turns out, I might even do a video on it.

Workwear Wants

Hello Lovelies,

Working in a corporate environment means I need to always look well presented and smart. I find it so hard to find fashionable highstreet workwear due to my height (5 ft 9) I find that all the tops are too short in the arms and the dresses are all too short! Because I am also saving to buy a house I want to try and keep the price down so I try and get items I can wear and dress up for work but also wear casually.
Here are a few workwear items I am lusting over at the moment, there is definitely a blue/mint green theme throughout. I will definitely be picking up some of these when I get paid, especially the mint green skirt from newlook! it's such a bargain and it can be worn casually or for work.

I would love seeing/hearing some suggestions on clothing that can be worn casually and for work, leave them below!

The Baby Shower

Hello Lovelies,

Me (Kim) & my brother's girlfriend, Abbie, decided with my mum to throw a baby shower for Kerry. She is now 38 weeks pregnant - I can't believe my twin is about to be a mummy, I'm so happy of her. We wanted it to be a surprise but had to tell her so we knew she would turn up! Although we did keep her out of all the planning and she didn't even know who was coming!

Me and Abbie made Kerry a baby shower cake, It took us about 4 hours to make in total but we were definitely happy with the finished product.

We also made cakepops, these were actually harder than the cake! We had great difficulty with the candy melts and getting the sticks to stay in the cakes but I think these are a great idea and they did come out looking quite good... in the end.

The cakepop stands are just polystyrene covered in craft paper
Here are just a few other snaps from the day...
I'm wearing (left) an oriental maxi which I bought from primark last year, Kerry (centre) is wearing a Primark Maternity daisy print dress with a newlook bow waist belt and Abbie (right) is wearing a H&M Maxi

If I am being totally honest, we were completely unorganised! We ended up getting the decorations the morning of the baby shower! So I would definitely recommend being more prepared as it ended up costing more than what it could of if we'd got them online.
I hope this may have given you some ideas on what to do if you have a baby shower coming up. If you have any questions please leave them below in the comments & also leave your links so we are able to check out your blogs!
